3. Data Collection on This Website

Website Hosting

I host the content of my website with the following provider:

Hostinger

When you use my website, so-called server log files (IP address, date, time, page accessed) are automatically collected by the host. This is technically necessary to ensure the stability and security of the website (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

For the business customer login area and the admin area, I use technically necessary cookies that store your logged-in state and, to automatically log you out after a period of inactivity, the time of your last activity. These cookies are strictly necessary for the login area to function; under German law, no consent is required for this (§ 25(2) TTDSG, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No cookies are used for analytics, marketing, or tracking purposes. Cookies are deleted when you log out, or at the latest once their validity period expires.

Contact by Email or Contact Form

If you send me inquiries via email or through my contact form, your information from the inquiry, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by me for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. I do not share this data without your consent (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your inquiry is related to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Technical transmission of my contact form is handled via the form service provider Web3Forms. This may involve transferring data to countries outside the EU (e.g. the USA); the provider contractually commits to an adequate level of data protection.

Customer Account and Orders

If you register as a business customer for a customer account, I collect and store the following data as the responsible party: company name, contact person, email address, phone number (if provided), address and VAT ID (if provided), and your password (stored encrypted, not visible to me). When you place an order through the customer account, I additionally store the products ordered, quantities, prices, your desired delivery date, any notes, and the time and version of the terms and conditions (AGB) you accepted.

This data is used to manage your customer account, to review and approve it, and to process your orders, and is required to fulfil the contract with you (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Account data remains stored for as long as your customer account exists. Order data must, due to commercial and tax retention obligations under German law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO), be retained for the legally required period even after account deletion; it is deleted, or anonymized where legally possible beforehand, once that period has elapsed.

For the technical implementation I use the following processors, who process data exclusively on my behalf and instructions (Art. 28 GDPR) and do not independently determine the purposes and means of processing — I remain the responsible party in every case:

  • Supabase (database and login management): stores your account and order data and manages your login. Server location: EU (Frankfurt).
  • Resend (transactional email delivery): sends automated emails regarding registration, account approval, and orders. This may involve transferring data to countries outside the EU (e.g. the USA); the provider contractually commits to an adequate level of data protection.
